West Woodside


West Woodside is a distributed hamlet in Westward Civil Parish in Cumbria, located off the A595 Roman Road, about 7 miles south-west of the centre of Carlisle and 16 miles north-east of Cockermouth. West Woodside, on Kings Street, dates from the late 18th century. Fiddleback farmhouse is dated 1709. Historically, the area was Woodside township, in the ancient parish of Westward in the old county of Cumberland.
