Milestone near West Woodside


At West Woodside is an old milestone loacted off the A595 by the junction with King's Street. The milestone dates from the late 18th or early 19th century, errected on what was the Carlisle to Cockermouth turnpike road. There is an O.S. bench mark on top of the milestone. The milestone is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.
