Co-Curate North East is a free to use community Website hosted by Newcastle University ('the host'). The Website includes images, videos and information from a wide range of sources, most of which are explicitly Openly Licenced (with information or links to the copyright holder). Co-Curate includes community content: users are able to edit text, add photos, videos, and links to Websites.


Newcastle University does not necessarily agree with, support or promote any opinion or representation within any user contribution and cannot vouch for the accuracy, completeness or fitness of any information published by users. Likewise, links to third-party content and Websites does not imply any endorsement by the host, or provide any guarantee of their accuracy.

Co-Curate is a project which brings together online collections, museums, universities, schools and community groups to make and re-make stories and images from North East England and Cumbria. Co-Curate is a trans-disciplinary project that will open up 'official' museum and 'un-officia'l co-created community-based collections and archives through innovative collaborative approaches using social media and open archives/data.
