Stanwix Rural Civil Parish is located in the Carlisle distriict of Cumbria, to the north-east of Carlisle city centre. The parish includes the settlements of Houghton, Low Crosby, High Crosby, Brunstock, Linstock, Tarraby, Rickerby, Whiteclosegate, and part of Harker. The ancient Parish of Stanwix covered a larger geographical area.
