Rickerby


Rickerby is a village in the City of Carlisle district of Cumbra, located by the north banks of the River Eden, about 1 mile north-east of the centre of Carlisle. Historically, Rickerby was a township in the ancient parish of Stanwix in Cumberland; today it forms part of Stanwix Rural Civil Parish.

RICKERBY, a township, in the parish of Stanwix, union of Carlisle, Eskdale ward, E. division of the county of Cumberland, 1½ mile (N.E. by E.) from Carlisle; containing 92 inhabitants.
