Church of St Augustine

The Church of St Augustine of Canterbury is located off Front Street in Alston. The Parish Church was built in 1870 by J.W. Walton, replacing an earlier church of 1770, itself built on a medieval site. The church spire was added in 1886 by G. D. Oliver. The church is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.
