Statue of Joseph Cowen


There is a bronze statue of Joseph Cowen (1829-1900) by John Tweed, located by the junction of Westgate Road and Fenkle Street, outside Cross House, in Newcastle. The statue, by John Tweed, was erected in 1906, by public subscription. It was unveiled by Lord Ridley on the 7th of July 1906. The statue is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.
