Rawthey Bridge (rail), Brigflatts
Rawthey Bridge carried the railway over River Rawthey, near Brigflatts, about 4 miles northof Sedbergh, in Cumbria. It was built 1857-1861, for the Lancaster and Carlisle Railway Company. It is a single span bridge, with rusticated rock-faced sandstone abutments, wrought-iron and cast-iron. The bridge is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England. The line closed in 1964 and the bridge became redundant. The Dales Way passes by the north end of the bridge.
