Jesmond Parish Church

Jesmond Parish ChurchJesmond Parish Church is located in Brandling Village in the suburb of Jesmond in Newcastle. The Gothic style church was designed by John Dobson and consecrated in 1861. The church was built in honour of Revd Richard Clayton, a leading evangelicalist in Newcastle. It is a Grade 2 Listed building. When it was built  most of the land around the church was open fields; today the dual carriageway of Jesmond Road (A1058) runs near the front of the building.
