Alston Town Hall


Alston Town Hall is located on the corner of Front Street and Station Road in Alston. The Gothic-style building was built in 1857, designed by A.B. Higham of Newcastle. The Town Hall, now under the banner of 'LocalLinks', hosts a Library, Tourist Information, Alston Moor Parish Council, and Archives of the Alston Moor Historical Society. There are also rooms for hire. Alston Town Hall is a registed charity, for which the Parish Council is the sole trustee. The building is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England. The Walton Monument stands outside the Town Hall.
