Thorngate Footbridge

This footbridge over the River Tees, in Barnard Castle, was constructed in 1882 for workers of the nearby mills, and it allowed access, on foot, from across the river to the heart of the mill complex. The bridge is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.
