St Mary's Parish Church
St Mary's Church in Gainford, County Durham, dates from the 13th Century. It was built on the site of an early 8th century Anglo-Saxon monastery. The Church is a Grade I listed building on the National Heritage List for England. The War Memorial in the churchyard is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.
