Ray Lonsdale
Ray Lonsdale is a renowned sculptor based in South Hetton, County Durham. His work serves as a "lasting legacy" of the North East and North Yorkshire's past, particularly focusing on the lives of miners, shipbuilders, and fishermen. Lonsdale's large-scale sculpures are made from corten (weathering) steel, which develops a characteristic rust-like surface, blending organically into their environments.
