This conservation area, on the south side of Nunthorpe in Middlesbrough, covers Old Nunthorpe Village and the surrounding area. The Conservaion Area was designated in 1975. Historic sites within the area include Nunthorpe Hall (C17th), St Mary’s Church (1926), Grey Towers (C19th), and the (probable) remains of a Cistercian nunnery (C12th).
