Nos. 1 & 3 Abbey Street, Carlisle

Nos. 1 & 3 Abbey Street, Carlisle, was originally a house and shop extension dating from the late 18th or early 19th century. It was later converted into one shop and had later alterations, and a facade on Annetwell Street. The ground floor is now Anatolia, Turkish meze bar and restaurant. The upper floor forms part of a 5 bedroom maisonette. Prior to that, the shop was the Pompeii Stakehouse for 9 years, before closing in 2020. Earlier it had been System, a clothes shop. Nos. 1 & 3 Abbey Street are Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.
