Hetton Silver Band Hall
Hetton Silver Band Hall was built in c.1912 for the Hetton Silver Band, replacing the brass band's earlier tin hut. The Hall, at Hetton-le-Hole, remained in use until 2009, when the band merged with another local band, to become Durham Miners’ Association Brass Band. To ensure the heritage of the Hetton Silver Band Hall was preserved, the Durham Miners’ Association donated the building to Beamish. With the help of locally raised funds, the Hall was dismantled in 2010-2011 and carefully rebuilt as a feature at Beamish Museum. (Source: Beamish Museum)
