Brick to Beamish - the Brick arrives!

  • Description

Brendon Renwick, who carried a brick all the way from Hetton to Beamish in the name of a worthy cause celebrates his arrival at the site of the eventual rebuild of the Silver Band Hall. Children at Hetton Lyons Primary School are busy raising funds to try to relocate the former Hetton Silver Band Hall to Beamish. Hetton Lyons parent and musician Dr Brendon Renwick did his bit and walked from the site of the former Hetton Silver Band Hall to Beamish on the 21st May with a brick from the Silver Band Hall in his rucksack. Dr Renwick also worked with the children at Hetton Lyons to make a rap, called 'Brick to Beamish' and it's rather fantastic we're sure you'll agree. And all for a worthy cause!
