Gossipgate Bridge, Alston


Gossipgate Bridge is a road bridge over the River Nent, located about ½ mile east of Alston. The stone bridge dates from the 18th century and has a single segmental arch. The west side of the bridge has an inscription "REPAIRED BY SUBSCRIPTION 1834". Gossipgate Bridge is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.
