Church of St. Cuthbert


The parish church in Allendale is part of the Benefice of the Allen Valleys. The present church was built in 1874 by Austin and Johnson, except for lower section of the tower, which was from an earlier church of 1807. in turn this was built on the site of an earlier medieval church.[1] The church is dedicated to St Cuthbert and is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.
