Bolam Hall

Bolam Hall was built in 1810 for Robert Horsley for his daughter Charlotte Philadelphia on her marriage to John Beresford, the Baron Decies. In 1816 John Dobson was commissioned to lay out the grounds, including the 25-acre artificial lake and woodland (now Bolam Lake Country Park). The Hall is now divided into 2 residences and is a grade II listed building.
