Stocksfield Hall

Stocksfield Hall is located near the River Tyne and Bywell Bridge, close to where Stocksfield Burn joins the Tyne. Historically, Stocksfield Hall was a township in the ancient parish of Bywell St Andrew. The main hall (farmhouse) building seen today, dates from the early 18th century. The substantial early 19th century planned farmbuildings, include north and west ranges, and a gingang set out around a large yard. The north range (barn/shelter sheds) has distinctive segmental-headed arches. The large former farm complex is now converted into a business hub - Stocksfield Hall Business Park. Stocksfield Hall farmhouse is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England. The north range and gingang, now serving as offices, are also listed.
