St Cuthbert's Church, Haydon Bridge


St Cuthbert's Church is located on Church Street in Haydon Bridge The parish church was built in 1796 by the Greenwich Hospital Commissioners. It replaced a smaller and more isolated old church. The north transept of the new church was added in 1869 to accommodate children from the Shaftoe Trust School. The chancel enlarged and the south elevation 'gothicised' in 1898. St Cuthbert's Church is a Grade II* listed building on the National Heritage List for England.
