Rosley C.of.E. School

Rosley C.of E. School is a voluntary aided primary school in Carwath, Rosley. The school, located near Holy Trinity Church, has about 70 pupils aged 4 to 11.[1] A school in the area, at Craggs Rigg, was established in the early 19th century with an endowment of £6 a year to educate 6 poor children from the parish. Rosley with Woodside School was built on the site of the current school, by the church, in 1873. Craggs school closed in 1895. Rosley with Woodside School was replaced by a modern building in 1961.[2]
