Old Milestone near Alston Town Hall


There is an old milestone set into the rounded corner of the stone wall, by Front Street (A686) , to the west of the Town Hall, in Alston. The milestone was erected by the Alston Turnpike Trust in the early 19th century. The milestone is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.
