Old Milestone, London Road


There is an old milestone by London Road (A6) in Harraby, Carlisle. The milestone was erected in the early 19th century for the Carlisle to Eamont Bridge Turnpike Trust. It displays the numbers 16 (miles to Penrith) and 2 (miles to Carlisle). The milestone is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.
