No 1 Mosley Street / 128 & 130 Pilgrim Street


Shops and offices, 1899 by Benjamin Simpson. Includes No. 1 Mosley Street and  Nos. 128 and 130 Pilgrim Street, Newcastle. The building has a cast iron frame with ashlar facades in free classical style. It has 4 storeys and an attic, with 3 bays to Mosley Street and 4 to Pilgrim Street. The building is Grade II listed on the Nartional Heritage List for England. The building was probably originally bult for the Norwich Union insurance company (see c.1900 photograph, below).
