Morton Tinmouth
Morton Tinmouth is a village in County Durham, located about a mile north-east of Ingleton and a mile south-west of Bolam. There is evidence that Morton Tinmouth was a larger village during the medieval period.[1] It's name derives from long ago when the estate was the property of the Prior of Tynemouth. Historically, the village and surrounding area was Morton Tynemouth township, in the ancient parish of Gainford. Since 1866, his has been Morton Tinmouth Civil Parish.
