Medieval Village (remains), Abberwick


The remains of the deserted medieval village of Abberwick and located immediately West of Abberwick Farm. They include the foundations of a tower house and a section of the open field system. The earliest reference to the village was in the 13th century, when it was recorded as part of the barony of Wark on Tweed. The remains are a Scheduled Ancient Monument.
