Little Strickland Civil Parish


Little Strickland Civil Parish is located about 6 miles south of Penrith and 2 miles north of Shap. Historically, Thrimby with Little Strickland was a chapelry in the ancient parish of Morland, in the historic county of Westmorland. Following the 1866 Poor Law Amendment Act, Little Strickland and Thrimby each became a civil parish. On the 1st April 2019, Thrimbly Civil Parish was merged with Little Strickland Civil Parish. The combined civil parish has an area of 9.5 km², and the population in the 2021 Census was less than 100 (details held in the civil parish of Great Strickland).
