King's Walk


King's Walk is the wide pedestrian walkway from Barras Bridge in the centre of Newcastle to King's Road and the Arches, Quadrangle and Students' Forum area of Newcastle University. On the east side of King's Walk are the King's Gate building and Northern Stage (Playhouse). Building's on the west side include the Students' Union Building and the former Grand Assembly Rooms. In 2018, the "Clasp", a sculpture by Anthony Gormley, was installed on King's Walk.
