The Gosforth Hotel


The Gosforth Hotel is a public house, located on the High Street, by the junction with Salters Road in Gosforth. It was built in 1878 and was purchased by Arthur’s Hill Brewery in 1900. The notable tiled facade was added to the building in 1913. The Gosforth Hotel has served as an important stopping point on the Great North Road since the 19th century. It is included in the 'Local List' of buildings, structures, parks, gardens and open spaces of special local architectural or historic lnterest.
