Esh Conservation Area

Esh Conservation Area was designated on the 1st January, 1975.

The conservation area covers much of the village of Esh in County Durham, including the historic village centre, focusing on the area around the Village Green, Front Street, and St. Michael's Church. It preserves a 19th-century character with significant 17th-century remnants, extending south to Esh Hall, and is visible on a steep ridge overlooking the River Browney valley.
