Dispensary Lane

Dispensary Lane in Newcastle is a narrow lane, which runs westwards from Low Friar Street, past Galen House and Blackfriars, and up to Stowell Street. It is named after the Newcastle Dispensary, which was once located here. By 1790 the dispensary had moved here from Pilgrim Street. In 1893, the Dispensary moved to Nelson Street.
