City Baths

Newcastle City Pool and Turkish Baths opened for public use in 1928. The Baths and adjacent City Hall together are a Grade II listed building. The baths were closed in April 2013, following financial cutbacks in council funding. Following a public campaign by the 'Re-open Newcastle Turkish Baths Group' the baths are being renovated by the Fusion Lifestyle charity, and scheduled to reopen in 2018.
