Old Church of St George, Carlisle


The former Church of St. George, United Reformed Church, is located at 35 Warwick Road, Carlisle. Originally a English Presbyterian Church, the foundation stone was laid on the 26th September 1862, and it formally opened on the 10th May 1863. The former URC church and its attached manse are Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England. The church building now (at 2024) hosts Michelangelo (Italian) Bar & Restaurant.
