Carliol House


Carliol HouseCarliol House is a 'shallow crescent' building which curves the corner of Market Street East and Pilgrim Street. It was built 1924-7 and designed by Burnet, Tait and Lorne with L J Couves & Co to be the new headquaters of the Newcastle Upon Tyne Electric Supply Company. Below its prominent rounded turret is a carved shield bearing the initials CH and the date 1927.
