Boothby


Boothby is a hamlet in the City of Carlisle district of Cumbria, located about 1 mile north-east of Brampton. Boothby is within Brampton Civil Parish. Historically, it was part of Cumberland. The settlement is on the south side of the River Irthing; by which is Abbey Mill (a former corn mill) and to the north west is the site of a Roman fortLanercost Priory is nearby, on the north side of the River.
