Angerton North Moor

Angerton North Moor Farm is located about ¾ mile north-west of the village of Hartburn in Northumberland. It is situated to the south of Hart Burn (river). The barn here was converted for residential use.

This is probably (not definitely!), what was Angerton Moor Farm, as included in Whellan's 1855 directory of Northumberland under the township of High Angerton, with Matthew Ramsey listed as farmer at that time.[1] Angerton South Moor Farm (farmhouse renovated and sold in 2008) appears as "Angertonmoor Cottage" on OS maps, but this is listed under the township of Low Angerton in the 1860 Northumberland Farms Index (Northumberland Archives). Today, Angerton North Moor is part of Hartburn Civil Parish.
