Alnham


Alnham is a hamlet in Northumberland, located near the source of the River Aln, about 14 miles west of Alnwick. Notably, in Alnham are the Norman Church of St Michael and a medieval Pele Tower; both listed buildings on the National Heritage List for England. To the west of Alnham is Castle Hill, on which are the remains of an Iron Age hillfort. Alnham is one of a number of hamlets in Alnham Civil Parish.

Alnham is a hamlet and civil parish in Northumberland, England. It is about 14 miles west of Alnwick and is located near the source of the River Aln. The population taken at the 2011 Census was less than 100. Details are included in Whittingham parish.

To the west of the Church of St Michael lies Alnham Vicars Pele, a 14th-century pele tower which was restored from a ruinous state in the 19th century.
