2-4 Mosley Street, Newcastle


Nos. 2-4 Mosley Street in Newcastle was built in 1908 by Newcombe and Newcombe for the Alliance Assurance Co. Ltd. The building, on the corner of Mosley Street and Pilgrim Street, was later used as offices and now Optimax, a laser eye surgery clinic (at 2022). The Palladian style building has 3 storeys, 5 bays with an elaborate 3-bay curved left entrance sectionwith Tuscan columns.The building is Grade II listed in the National Heritage list for England.
