Zetland Hotel
The Zetland Hotel is a Grade 2 Listed Building which was built c.1860 and located on Zetland Road, close to Middlesbrough Station. Threatened with closure as a pub in 2015. An earlier description of the interior: "...the great interest is the rear lounge dating from 1893. This has a spectacular display of roundarched mirrors and surrounding tilework in cream, browns and light blue. Panelled plaster ceiling. The servery in this room (like the front bar fittings) is modern. Mosaic floor panel at entrance with the hotel name....Tiles and mirrors in the rear room of 1893 at the Zetland, Middlesbrough, create an exotic effect." (CAMRA, 2006)
