Woodroufe Terrace

Woodroufe Terrace is a road in Carlisle, that runs between St Nicholas Street and London Road (A6). Nos.1-11, are a terrace of houses on the north side of the street; they were built in the 1850s and feature Flemish bond brickwork. The terrae of houses (Nos.1-11 Woodroufe Terrace and Nos. 46 & 48 London Road) are Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England. No.1 has a blocked doorway which may have differed from the rest and is now part of No. 48 London Road. No. 11, on the corner with St Nicholas Street has a mural for the former White Ox Inn. The street name plaque on No. 11 says Woodroufe Terrace (spelt with one 'f'), but some maps have the spelling as Woodrouffe Terrace (with two 'f's).
