Whitrigg, Wigton


Whitrigg is a hamlet in the Allerdale district of Cumbria, located about 7 miles south-west of the town of Wigton and 1 mile south of the village of Torpenhow. Whitrigg is part of Blennerhasset and Torpenhow Civil Parish.

Note: there are two hamlets named Whitrigg in the Allerdale district of Cumbria, located within 12 miles of each other. This one is by Torpenhow, Wigton, not to be confused with Whitrigg near Bowness-on-Solway.
