Vale House


Vale House is a tower block on Lansdowne Gardens, overlooking Jesmond Vale, built in 1967 by Douglass Wise and Partners. The building has 28 floors and at 262 ft, is Newcastle's tallest building. "Uncluttered white surfaces with the contrast of a black central staircase strip at the centre of the two shorter sides". (Pevsner. 1992)
