The Old School House, Warkworth
The Old School House is located on The Butts in Warkworth. This is a former Borough School, dated 1736. Above the door, there is a panel with an inscription: "In Year 1736 Mr George Lawson of Gloster Hill Built this House and gave it to the Town for a School House". The building served as the Borough School until c.1890; in the early C20 it served as a village meeting room. The Old School House is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.
