The Oaks (house), High Oaks, Sedbergh


The Oaks is a large house in the hamlet of High Oaks, near Sedbergh, The 3 storey house is dated 1706 on its porch, but perhaps may be older and enlarged at this date. It was once the home of William Corney (1661-1740), a prosperous money-lender.[1] The house is Grade II* listed on the National Heritage List for England.
