The Knife Angel (sculpture)


The National Monument Against Violence & Aggression ('The Knife Angel') is a contemporary sculpture made from 100,000 knives. It was created by artist Alfie Bradley and the British Ironworks Centre, to raise awareness of knife crime in the UK. The 27ft sculpture was completed in 2018, after which it began a nationwide tour. This included Carlisle (December 2021), Barrow-in-Furness, (January 2022), Kirkleatham Museum, Redcar (August 2022).
