Kirkleatham Museum


"Kirkleatham Museum is the local history museum for the Borough of Redcar & Cleveland with a treasure trove of artefacts and exhibitions set on three floors all housed within a magnificent 1710 Queen Anne building." The building in Kirkleatham is Grade II* listed on the National Heritage List for England. Permanent exhibitions include the Saxon Princess with jewels belonging to an Anglo-Saxon princess found near Loftus, William Turner and the story of Kirkleatham Village, and a World War l & ll exhibition with the Bolckow and Vaughan roll of honour memorial board and illustrations by artist, S. McMillan.
