The Hill, Waterhead

The Hill on the Wall is a house located close to Hadrian's Wall, just under a mile north-west of Gilsland. It dates from the mid-18th century, built on the site of an earlier house. For many years it served as a B&B, until the propriotor retired in 2023.[1] The building is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.
