St.Peter's (Former School), Gainford


St Peter's to the East of Gainford, County Durham was demolished in March 2016 following a fire on Saturday, March 5.[1] It was originally built c.1899 as a Catholic Poor Law school / orphanage. Later it became a residential corrective school for around 100 pupils, but this closed in 1983. In 1986 the building became used as a nursing home, it became disused from 1998.
